Come and meet the Famous 'Cosmo' who is a member of the smallest breed of chicken in the world! Meet all his mates and learn all about them on this hands-on course.

This 2 hour course is for a maximum of 8 people and covers the following:

Chosing the right chickens for you

Hybrid V Pure breed

Selecting your chicken house

How to handle your chickens and inspect them

Regular Cleaning and Caring

How to spot health issues and possible treatment

Feeding your chickens

Pecking Order explained and how to minimise this

Keeping them secure and safe

How to clip wings if required

How many eggs can you expect, what sizes and colours

What i a broody hen and how to stop them

At the end of the course you will recieve a certificate and 6 free range eggs per family for you to try. The course costs are £25 each or £40 per couple or £70 per family of 4 (i.e. 2 adults/2 teens). Children under 8 are free providing they are supervised. Tea/coffee and biscuits are included. Payment must be recieved in full 1 week prior to attending the course.
